After careful consideration and consultation, the UofL Trager Institute and Kentucky Association for Gerontology have decided to postpone the 2020 Optimal Aging Conference due to the concern of COVID-19 virus spread.

Submitting a Presentation Proposal

Thank you for your interest in presenting at the 2020 Optimal Aging Conference!

The Optimal Aging Conference unites healthcare and social service professionals, industry members, academics, older adults, and caregivers who view aging as an opportunity. We welcome you to join us in Louisville, KY to share inspirational ideas about how we can inspire, innovate, impact, investigate, and integrate the aging experience. 

This interdisciplinary conference invites presentations on academic research, practice applications, product innovations, personal testimonies, and more. We accept 90-minute and poster presentations across several tracks.

All presentation proposals will be peer-reviewed for acceptance into the conference program. The deadline for proposal submission has been extended to January 6, 2020 at midnight.

Presentation Proposal Submission Instructions

Before you begin the online presentation proposal, please review the following:

1) Proposal Instructions & FAQ. Before submitting your proposal, please review Proposal Instructions & FAQ page.  

2) Saving Your Submission. You will not be able to save your application and come back to it later. Please be prepared to submit your application in full once you begin the proposal submission form.

3) CVs/Resumes for All Presenters. Due to Continuing Education requirements, we need the CV or Resume of all presenters. Please have these documents ready to submit, along with the information about your co-presenters, when you begin the proposal submission form.

4) Proposal Requirements At-A-Glance. Please be prepared to fill out the following information once you begin the proposal application. Click here for a detailed overview of the presentation proposal online application.
    • Presenter CV, Resume, or Bio (for yourself and all co-presenters)
    • Presentation Title
    • Presentation Style
    • Presentation Track

    • 250-Word Description
    • 50-Word Summary 
Please Note:

 All presenters and co-presenters are required to pay the full conference registration fee to attend and present at the Conference. The submission of a presentation proposal does not qualify as Conference Registration.
